Accepting Your Demons

We pick back up where we left off, Scott trying to get a hold of his wife to try to explain what has been going on, Hendricks trying to catch the Demon, and of course with the Demon collecting his souls for Aeshma. Scott is having to sneak around now to get information to his wife as well as to see his daughter. He gives her the lies with a smooth grace to comfort his little girl and he’s off. As soon as Lucy gives it to her mother she calls Hendricks, the envelope contained all of his paperwork she would need if he were to die.

This next part it is officially revealed that Hendricks is actually a part of Novo, the crazy church that Jamie and Scott were a part of as children, the church that turned Scott into the vessel for Aeshma. Hendricks, now having everything Scott holds dear, calls Scott and tells him to come to him, or his family dies. Scott only needs one more soul to complete the bargain with Aeshma, collect as many as the demons King Solomon captured; 72. On his way to save his family Hendricks is having a demon awakened inside of him to kill Scott. Hendricks as a Demon fights Scott, who is refusing to let his Demon out because it’s personal between him and Hendricks. Unfortunately for Scott things aren’t going well and he has to accept his Demon fully to beat Hendricks, which means the deals is over he fully works for her now. In no time, with Aeshma in control, Scott kills Hendricks and gets his family to safety. We end this book with Lucy telling Scott that she can see his Demon following him around, Jamie forcing Scott to tell her the truth about everything, but when he can’t stop lying she kicks him out forever and it turns out Lucy is carrying around a demon of her own her imaginary friend Mr. Belly is actually the Demon Belial.

The Confessional

This issue was so good, and as a conclusion is wrapped the story up very nicely. I only have one real issue with this story and that it was a mini-series and will not be continuing. The pacing was fantastic and Niko Walter does an amazing job with they art. I would highly recommend picking this story up, it is non-stop action through out, a great story line with fantastic art.
